Feeding during the Dark 12 hour cycle.

I have a 400MHAgrosun bulb. Just put my plants into BudMode, 12/12. Just wondering
if I need to water during the dark period. My friend said he does not feed during dark, will it
hurt to water in the dark period.
I am using 8 1hr feeding cycles evenly spaced out in a 24hr period.
Plants are 3feet tall now just going into bud stage.
